Originally hailing from Alberta, Drohan is a five piece hard rock band based out of Vancouver, British Columbia. In search of new band mates, lead singer Bryce Drohan packed up his gear and moved to the West coast in 2008. He jumped into the scene, like a pit bull on a chain, and snatched up drummer Rhys Pickup (Winter of Freedom), and bassist Jeremy John Butler (Simian Special). They played their first show as a power trio at The Media Club, January 2009.
A few months later, Annie MaCrae added her piano and three part harmonies to the band. After a 2010 Winter Olympic Performance, Drohan picked up guitarist Greg Withers, and is now poised to explode into the international limelight!
Drohan is currently getting airplay on power 104fm in Kelowna as well as many college and online stations like UBC’s 101.9fm CITR, SFU’s 90.5fm CJSF, and www.indielove.ca in Toronto. They are top 20 finalists in Vancouver’s 99.3fm CFOX “Seeds” 2010 competition, and have created a undeniable pulse in the West coast music scene.
With producer Alex “Condor” Aligizakis on board, a brand new single on the way, multiple music videos on YouTube, and two albums available through Itunes/Amazon, Drohan has accomplished more in two years, than most bands ever do in a lifetime!
